捷克地處歐洲中部的內陸國家，北與波蘭為鄰，東與斯洛伐克交界，南與奧地利相連，西與德國接壤。捷克屬於海洋性向大陸性氣候過渡的溫帶氣候，夏季炎熱，冬季寒冷多雪。
Located in the center of Europe, the Czech Republic is landlocked. It is bordered by Poland to the north, Slovakia to the east, Austria to the south and Germany to the west. The Czech Republic has a temperate climate, being situated in the transition zone between the oceanic and continental climate types, with warm summers and cold and snowy winters.

捷克目前約有1,073萬人，主要為捷克人，其他為摩拉維亞人、斯洛伐克人、烏克蘭人及波蘭人等。目前也有許多歐洲國家及亞洲國家的外國人居住在捷克。
捷克的官方語言為捷克語，英語、德語及俄語為較常用之外國語言。

The major ethnic group is Czech and other minority groups are Moravian, Slovak, Ukrainian, Polish, etc. Currently, there are many people from Europe and Asia living in the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is influenced by its neighbors, and by political and social changes, and has plentiful artifacts and art heritage. It is known for centuries-old castles, ancient cities and world cultural heritage. Currently there are 14 U.N.E.S.C.O. world heritage sites in the Republic.
美食特色
Features of Food
捷克飲食主要以肉類為主，會與穀類、乳製品如奶油及蔬菜一起料理如Vepřo-knedlo-zelo是當地著名的特色料理，烤豬肉搭配餃子及醃酸菜。捷克的甜點如Svíčková na smetaně(餃子、奶油及蔓越莓)及啤酒也是代表性的食物及飲料。
The Czech staple is meat, which is always cooked with grains, dairy, like butter, and vegetables. Vepřo-knedlo-zelo is a famous special cuisine, which is an abbreviation for Czech roast pork, dumplings, and sauerkraut. The dessert, such as Svíčková na smetaně (dumplings, butter and cranberries) and beer are also typical food and drink.
