Geographical Location
宏都拉斯共和國位於中美洲，西與瓜地馬拉和薩爾瓦多交界，東南與尼加拉瓜接壤，北臨加勒比海，南有一小段太平洋海岸。宏都拉斯位於太平洋和加勒比海之間，主要是山地，內陸為熔岩平原，在海岸有狹窄的平原地帶。氣候包括從低地的熱帶氣候到山地的溫帶氣候。
The country of Honduras is located in Central America bordering Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua to the southeast, the Caribbean Sea to the north, and it has a short coastline on the Pacific Ocean. Situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Honduras has plentiful mountains, lava plains inland, and coastal plains. The climate is tropical in the lowlands and becomes more temperate in the mountains.

宏都拉斯目前約有1,012萬人，主要民族為麥士蒂索(mestizo)及其他少數如美洲印地安人等。麥士蒂索人指擁有歐洲血統及美洲原住民血統的拉丁民族，官方語言為西班牙語
The current population in Honduras is around 10,120,000. The mestizos are the main ethnic group and the minor ethnic groups are composed of American Indians and others. Mestizo refers to people of mixed indigenous and European ancestry. The official language is Spanish.

宏都拉斯共和國的文化如習俗、服裝、信仰、藝術等皆受到麥士蒂索、美洲印地安等民族影響，當地主要信仰為天主教。
The culture of Honduras, such as customs, clothes, religion and art, is strongly influenced by mestizo and American Indians. Catholicism is the most common religious affiliation in Honduras.

宏都拉斯共和國飲食結合中部美洲、西班牙、加勒比海及非洲飲食，大部分料理都會使用椰子及椰奶。當地較具有代表性的食物有墨西哥粽、烤肉、炸魚及醃製洋蔥及玉米餅等。
Honduran cuisine is a fusion of Central American, Spanish, Caribbean and African cuisines. Coconut and coconut milk are featured in most of the dishes. Typical foods are tamales, carne asada, fried fish, pickled onions and tortillas.
