Geographical Location
印度位於亞洲次大陸，自北方喜馬拉雅山起，經恆河平原及德干高原，向南伸入印度洋，西瀕阿拉伯海，東濱孟加拉灣。南北縱長3214公里，東西約2933公里，面積達328萬7000餘平方公里，係世界第七大國。
Located on the Asian subcontinent, India is bounded on the north by the Himalayas. The Indo-Gangetic plain occupies most of north-central, while the Deccan Plateau occupies southern India. The subcontinent protrudes into the Indian Ocean, bounded in the west by the Arabian Sea and in the east by the Bay of Bengal. India measures 3,214 km from north to south and 2,933 km from east to west. It is the seventh-largest country in the world, with a total area of 3,287,590 km².

印度文化是一個經多地區文化融合而成的整體，橫跨印度次大陸，並且受到了數千年傳統文化的影響。印度文化包含語言、音樂、飲食及宗教等，印度屬多元宗教文化，印度八成人口信奉印度教，其餘為回教、錫克教、耆那教、佛教、拜火教及基督教等。
The culture of India is a fusion of the cultures of many regions over thousands of years, involving language, music, diet and religion. India is a religiously diverse nation. 80 percent of the population practices Hinduism and the other religions are Islam, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, and Christianity.
美食特色

印度料理使用非常多不同的香料如孜然(cumin)、肉桂(cinnamon)、丁香(clove)等，馬鈴薯、豆類、小麥及米飯為較常見的主食。印度代表性的食物也因區域有所不同，如北印度的奶油咖哩雞(Butter Chicken)、饢餅(Naan)及咖哩(curry)等。
Indian cuisine consists of a variety of spices, including cumin, cinnamon, cloves, etc. Potatoes, beans, wheat and rice are common staples. Typical Indian cuisine varies from region to region, such as the Butter Chicken, Naan and Curry in North India.
